Each cheerleading squad has its own way of getting the school pumped up for a game. At my high school, every cheerleader is given a "big brother." Each one of us chooses a football player and before every game, we give them a treat. Sometimes it will be a bag of candy or a football. This gets them excited about the game, and is our way of saying "GOOD LUCK!"
What does your squad do to pump up the school and team before a game?

Well at our games before the boys run out on the court and do their laps we all get in a circle and like three people yell VAN-WHAT!!! and the rest of us yell VANDALS!!!!!!! we do it like three times and then we go vandals on three one two three VANDALS!!!! and when they run the people in the crowd stand bu the out of bounds line and slap their hands as they go by!! We have a lot of school spirit at KHS!!! =]

That's cool! It's really good to have a lot of school spirit.
Dont' forget that the students and fans look to the cheerleaders to pump them up, so always show your beautiful smile and great spirit!!

decorate the lockers of everyone on the team were performing for. when its boys basketball we go around the school decorate there lockers and decorate the whole school but make a school announcement the day before to wear school spirit colors and the school does it.

Before homecoming we always have spirit week where we dress up differently each day. (i.e. Monday is camo day Tuesday is 80s day etc.) And then on friday it's pirate day where we dress up for our team. We also decorate lockers and smile and yell as loud as we can to pump up the crowd. We also have a dance routine to "Cotton Eye Joe" which gets the crowd pretty excited.
